MY NEW YORK FASHION WEEK DIARY: DAY 1

It's New York Fashion Week! I was lucky enough to be invited to quite a few events on behalf of both Health and this lil blog here, so I thought I'd document as many of my looks/adventures as possible!

Day one started with a prep suite at The Maritime Hotel, featuring hair by Sarah Potempa and the Beachwaver team, nails by Red Carpet Manicure, and makeup by tarte cosmetics. You guys might remember I used to intern for tarte, so being invited to an event they were at felt very full circle!

All photos in this post courtesy of the Beachwaver team!

Being a beauty waves fan already, I was super impressed with how the Beachwaver curled my hair. And as for tarte, I'd been trying to use up all the product I'd gathered at my internship before investing in any of the new releases, so finally getting to play with their new palettes and lines was a dream! My top picks were the quick dry matte lip paint in Festival, the Clay Play Face Shaping Palette, and the Radiance Drops mixed into my foundation!

At this point in the week, my pink hair was entirely gone, save for a very faint tint that made me strawberry blonde in some lights, which I kinda loved and surprisingly got numerous compliments on!

As for my outfit, I wanted to keep things simple for my first show, KUR Collection, because I knew their entire line would be black and white. I paired my glittery silver nails with my new favorite distressed jeans from American Eagle and this super-cute blouse I snagged from Saks Off Fifth, which is actually a bodysuit! It reminded me so much of this version from T by Alexander Wang, and I'm obsessed with how easy it is to pair with outfits thanks to the bodysuit bottom. Similar versions can be found here and here, but I recommend checking your local Saks Off Fifth to search for this one!

To accessorize, I opted for my go-to fancy footwear, these caged heels by Steve Madden, which I have in both black and nude. Since my outfit was all high street brands, I went for some more name brand accessories (it's Fashion Week, after all!) with this Gucci belt and purse by Bottega Venetta.

This OOTD post is so weird for me, since I'm normally the one taking my photos and doing my own makeup, but I had such an amazing time and loved my look! Keep an eye out for some more of my upcoming NYFW looks, and enjoy a few shots from the KUR presentation below, where I was backstage with Stila checking out makeup before the show!
